Blasphemous cartoons the major media won’t publish

Worker’s banner: “Long live the workers and the peasants — power to the soviets!” Capitalist’s banner: “All power to the capitalists! Death to the workers and peasants!” Caption: “Either death to capital, or death under capitalism’s heel.” [Viktor Deni, 1919]

Wednesday’s attack against French satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo has sparked outrage and strident criticism from media outlets all over the world, who have positioned themselves as champions of free speech.

It’s the correct position — and it’s also brazenly hypocritical when it comes from an industry that overwhelmingly and systematically screens out anti-capitalist voices from the public. This is a long and well understood phenomenon, and it’s easily verified just by comparing basic surveys about popular attitudes towards capitalism with the trivial amount of coverage that skeptics actually receive. Just about every media company and journalist you can name is complicit in this de-facto censorship.

But not this site! So while other media outlets are making a show of their commitment to free speech by publishing bigoted or racist images, allow me to present the most offensive, unacceptable blasphemy of all: blasphemy against Capitalism.
