Jeffrey Breault – The World’s Finest Car Races

Listen to this article

Jeffrey Breault is both my friend and manager and he is someone who has been a very important person in my life and ever since I started working for his automotive group 15 years ago, he has taken me under his wing and shown me the inner workings of the business. Jeff Breault has a passion for cars which is unrivaled and that passion has very much rubbed off on me. In my role as his assistant, Jeff has taught me all about cars and the automotive industry and one of the biggest perks of the job is the fact that he has taken me to some of the world’s finest races, take a look.

Monaco Grand Prix

In just my second year at the firm, Jeff told me that he was taking me to the Monaco Grand Prix, arguably the most prestigious race in the Formula 1 calendar. The entire weekend was madness, the race itself was incredible with cars and talented drivers weaving their vehicles through the tight Monaco city circuit. Away from the track things were just incredible with some of the world’s most famous and richest people gathering for a weekend of decadence and fast cars, an incredible experience.

Daytona 500

Both Jeff and I adored NASCAR as kids and when I mentioned the fact that I’d never in fact been to a NASCAR race, Jeff got right on it and booked us up for the Daytona 500. This is the one race which I had always dreamed about going to, the first on the calendar and the race which can turn mere mortals into legends. Daytona was everything that I wanted it to be and I loved it so much that I’ll be going back next year too!

Le Mans 24 Hour Race

Jeff was invited by a client of his to enjoy the Le Mans 24 hour race, a 3,100 mile circuit which sees 2 drivers take their car around the track for a full 24 hours. This is the ultimate test of endurance for drivers and the racing teams have just as much impact on this race as the drivers. Cars spin, screech, crash and soar around this track, getting patched up along the way until they can finally get to the end. Watching this race is a strange experience as you dip in and dip out as the 24 hour time progresses. I never realized just how crazy this race could be until I was actually there, watching from the sidelines in the dead of night.

Later this year we will be attending the Singapore Grand Prix which is an event that I have long wished to go to, beyond that who knows where our next race will be, for now, I just feel grateful that I have been able to attend those which Jeff has taken me to. Which race in the world would you like to see the most?
