A big support from Turkey to the world’s agriculture; there will not be any uncultivated land

According to the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization’s (FAO) report on February 22, 2019;  it has been highlighted that the decline in food production due to a decrease in biodiversity worldwide.

UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), International Agricultural Development Fund (IFAD), UN Children’s Aid Fund (UNICEF), World Food Program (WFP) and World Health Organization (WHO), publicly announced on September 11, 2018 on Food Safety and Nutrition Status in the World Report that increasing the number of people facing hunger in 2017 has been emphasized that it has reached 821 million and one out of every 9 people in the world is in danger of hunger.

The report stated that the hunger in the world has climbed in the last 3 years and that climate changes have a negative impact on the production of basic products such as wheat, rice and corn.

AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTION DECREASES; THE HUNGER THREAT IS GROWING

In the World Food Safety and Nutritional Status Report, which indicated that the decline in agricultural production creates a deficit in foodstuffs, is stated that in 2017, approximately 151 million children under 5 years face nutritional deficiencies.

On the other hand, according to UN data, 821 million people are struggling against hunger in the world, and according to UN records and the world population will rise to 10 billion in 2050. Therefore, if the deficit in food production continues, many more people in the world will face the danger of hunger.
