Kara Miller is a Boston-based writer and musician. After growing up in New Jersey, she decided to move north for school and graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a B.A. in Writing and Rhetoric in December 2011. Since then, she has been working as a Freelance Film Transcriber and Bookstore Assistant in Boston, while also singing in the band Corey R-J in her free time. They are currently planning their next tour out West for March-April 2014. Writing for a magazine or a marketing firm are her main objectives; however, she also plans to write a novel and publish one of the few screenplays she is currently working on. Kara is also busy with building a presence on the web by using social media outlets and actively writing on her two blogs, “On a Brighter Note” via Tumblr and “An Old Soul in This Very Strange World’ via WordPress. Besides music and writing, she is also passionate about reading, travel, cooking, biking and photography.
