Dodgers pitcher Hyun-Jin Ryu on 10 day DL
The Los Angeles Dodgers announced they have placed left-handed pitcher Hyun-Jin Ryu on the 10-day disabled list with a left hip contusion. The team recalled right-handed pitcher Josh Fields from Triple-A Oklahoma City.
This will be Field’s third stint with the club. He had eight (out of nine) scoreless games so far this season. His ERA is 1.29. He struck out 12 batters against only one walk in seven total innings.
Over the weekend Fields pitched against the Philadelphia Phillies, allowing just one run — his only run allowed this season. After the game he was optioned to AAA Oklahoma City.
On Sunday Ryu made his fifth start of the season against the Phillies, recording his first win. He pitched 5.1 innings, giving up 3 hits and 1 run, recording 9 strikeouts and 3 walks. He threw a total of 93 pitches.
Sunday was Ryu’s first win since August 31, 2014.

We are not the typical news website – nor do we wish to be. We will be offering more than news and blogs, but an opportunity for fiction writers, poets, comedians and musicians to showcase their talent and skills. Much like when the Beatles formed Apple Corps Ltd, they opened the door to all kinds of inspiring talent that never really got a shot. From that came the likes of James Taylor and others. We hope by providing a similar approach we can shine the light on some tremendous undiscovered talent and at the same time offer some familiar voices who live in Los Angeles and beyond.
