Drew Doughty suspended for one playoff game
Los Angeles Kings defenseman Drew Doughty was suspended for one playoff game for delivering an illegal hit to the head of Las Vegas Golden Knights forward William Carrier. The hit occurred at 9: 58 of the third period in the first game of their first round NHL Stanley Cup playoff series.
According to the Department of Player Safety Doughty delivered an illegal hit and that the defenseman has been fined once in his 770 game career, so there is no relevant history of this type of behavior by Doughty.
With Doughty out for a game someone in the Kings’ defense will have to step up to refill the big void left by Doughty’s absence. He is an All-Star and acknowledged as one of the best defensemen in the NHL.

We are not the typical news website – nor do we wish to be. We will be offering more than news and blogs, but an opportunity for fiction writers, poets, comedians and musicians to showcase their talent and skills. Much like when the Beatles formed Apple Corps Ltd, they opened the door to all kinds of inspiring talent that never really got a shot. From that came the likes of James Taylor and others. We hope by providing a similar approach we can shine the light on some tremendous undiscovered talent and at the same time offer some familiar voices who live in Los Angeles and beyond.
