Happy Holidays Everyone

The Los Angeles Post-Examiner would like to wish everyone very Happy Holidays as we celebrate the Winter Solstice, Hanukkah, Yule, Kwanzaa, Bodhi Day, Zarathustra Diso, Guru Gobind Singh and of course Christmas.

For many of us the next few days will be spent with family and friends, which, we have been reminded to love and tolerate each other and try to keep the days peaceful. If, you need to escape for a bit, do so. Spend some time in nature, although here in * California people are being displaced by the torrential rains and the flooding that comes with it.

Those rivers of mud, logs, branches, motor vehicles and pieces of buildings are called “debris flows.” They are causing extensive damage throughout the area. We encourage everyone to watch the entire, four-minute USA Today video below.

If you can financially help the flooding victim — or any others suffering terrible loss, do so. There are many organizations like the Red Cross who are directly helping people in need. It can help clear your mind of all stress going on around us at this time of year.

Whichever Holidays you are celebrating , the winter solstice, or something else altogether, we wish you Happy Holidays and Season’s Greetings. In the words of Charles Dickens, via Tiny Tim Kratchit in A Christmas Carol, “God bless us everyone!”
