In April Elizalde joined Mexican President Peña Nieto on stage when the president announced he and the country would pursue medical cannabis reform.

Medical Marijuana, Inc estimates that Mexico’s population of 120 million has the potential of being a $1-2 billion market over the next 10 years. The company’s RSHO-X™ was the first cannabis product to receive approval from the federal government of Mexico, via a COFEPRIS permit, for importation.
