DeMarcus Cousins suspended one game
According to a press release from the NBA, Sacramento Kings center DeMarcus Cousins has been suspended one game without pay for receiving his 16th technical foul of the 2016-17 season. Kiki VanDeWeghe, The NBA’s Executive Vice President, Basketball Operations made the announcement.
Once a player or coach receives their 16th technical foul of the season they are automatically suspended without pay for one game, according to the NBA rules. For every two techs after that the player or coach will be suspended another game.
Cousins was called for his last tech on February 6 with about one second left in the game against the Chicago Bulls. Cousins was fined $25,000 for making an inappropriate comment and gesture after a game against the Golden State Warriors, which the Kings won in overtime, 109-106.
Both incidents occurred at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento.

Los Angeles Post-Examiner is not the typical news platform. We go beyond headlines, creating a space for fiction writers, poets, comedians and musicians to share their talent and be discovered. Inspired by the Beatles’ vision behind Apple Corps Ltd, they opened the door to all kinds of inspiring talent that never really got a shot. From that came the likes of James Taylor and many others. By providing a similar approach we can shine the light on some tremendous undiscovered talent and at the same time offer some familiar voices who live in Los Angeles and beyond.
