Lakers lose to Grizzlies in a close game

Anoche los Memphis Grizzlies cerraron un partido de codo a codo en Staples Center derrotando a los Lakers, 89-86, por la increíble actuación de Zach Randolph.

The Lakers were no match for the Grizzlies.
Last night the Memphis Grizzlies clinched a close match at the Staples Center, defeating the Lakers, 89-86, thanks largely to the incredible performance of Zach Randolph .
“It feels good, especially being our first road win of the season,” Randolph said. “We had been up and down and inconsistent, but it’s good to get a win and go on from here. ”
After Jodie Meeks hit a three-pointer, the Lakers were only four points behind the Grizzlies, 85-81 with only 1:20 minutes.
Randolph was able to seal the match with 16.4 seconds left, going around Jordan Hill to score, giving the Grizzlies three points.
Steve Blake tried to tie the game but his attempt failed. Randolph threw a pair of free throws, finishing the game with 28 points.
The Lakers had one last try when Nick Young was fouled on a three-point attempt with 6.5 seconds left in the game. Young scored the first two on the line, but not the third. The Grizzlies were then able to take the rebound and let the clock run out.
“We hope to learn from the experiences in these situations and grow from that,” Blake said after the game. “Watch the video and understand that these are the things that make a big impact on the game.”

The Lakers next game is against the Detroit Pistons on Sunday at the Staples Center.
