Clippers protest Donald Sterling’s racist comments; fans take to twitter
Los Angeles Clippers players protested team owner Donald Sterling’s racist comments with some wardrobe tweaks Sunday, hiding the team logo by turning their shooting shirts inside-out and wearing black socks and armbands.
It was a symbolically powerful protest that will likely be met with overwhelming approval by the media – but on Twitter, at least, a significant number of people of color found it underwhelming. Their voices deserve to be heard.
