What happens when one of baseball’s best pitchers goes up against one of the best hitters in the league? We’ve seen it many times during the regular season and the post-season. But we’ve never seen it in a game of wiffle ball.
That’s right. At Angels Stadium on September 8 or 9, two winners will get a chance to play wiffle ball with left-handed pitcher Clayton Kershaw of the L.A. Dodgers and All-Star first baseman for the L.A. Angels of Anaheim, Albert Pujols.
Kershaw won the Cy Young Award last season as the best pitcher in the National League and this season he has an ERA of 2.34 and a record of 10-6. Pujols is batting .254 this season, with 70 RBI’s and 33 homeruns. In his career he has batted 553 homeruns into the bleachers.
Two of the best in the game and two lucky winners will get to take the field at Angels Stadium in Anaheim with Kershaw and Pujols fora game of Wiffle Ball. The lucky winners will get coaching from Kershaw and Pujols on how to pitch and hit and then have lunch with the two All-Stars before taking in a game in premium seating.
Fans can enter to win at www.omaze.com/WiffleBall and the deadline to enter is September 1. On September 5 the two winners will be announced and during the freeway series between the visiting L.A. Dodgers and the L.A. Angels of Anaheim the winners will get to enjoy a game of wiffle ball and then have lunch with Albert and Clayton before taking in the game between the Dodgers and the Angels, in premium seating for you, the winner and a guest.
