Legendary star Johnny Crawford joins April 30th ‘Hike to Hollywood’ fight against obesity and diabetes event. 

HOLLYWOOD, CA: Johnny Crawford, best known for the classic Western TV show “The Rifleman” in which Johnny co-stared with Chuck Connors will join Ron Irwin and other hikers on their hike from Burbank to the W Hotel in Hollywood, a measured 14.2 miles.  The sole purpose of this event is help the fight against obesity and diabetes and is best expressed by Irwin’s statement:

“If a 71 year old geezer like me can beat cancer, diabetes and obesity with exercise and proper diet, then so can you.  This is about setting a positive example not grabbing for money”  said Irwin

Johnny Crawford who was one of the very first “Mouseketeers” on the original Mickey Mouse Club and later co-stared in all 168 episodes of “The Rifleman” is having a very busy month of April.  On April 21st Johnny Crawford is being honored with a star on The Wall of Western Stars in Santa Clarita, California and then joining in the annual Burbank on Parade April 23rd before joining with Ron Irwin in his second annual Hike to Hollywood on April 30th.

As of now two other well-known celebrities have confirmed participation.  They are:

Kim Kopf is known for her work with Cate Blanchett in the Oscar winning “Blue Jasmine.”  She is also currently in production on a sizzling new TV sitcom “Bruna in Beverly Hills” and she is in pre-production on a horror thriller “Experiment 77” to be directed by award winning Director Max Leonida.

Zak Lee has numerous film credits including having just wrapped “Live by Night” where he worked with Ben Affleck and Zoe Zaldana.
