Lonzo Ball is now a Laker
The Los Angeles Lakers made it official and drafted UCLA point guard Lonzo Ball with the second pick in the NBA Draft.
It’s been speculated and talked about for months and Ball, a graduate of Chino Hills High School, has said he wanted to be a Laker. He only played one season at UCLA before declaring for the draft. While at UCLA he broke the single season assists record and won the Wayman Tisdale Award as the top freshman in the country.
His stats at UCLA: 35.1 minutes per game, field goal percentage of .551, 3-point percentage .412, free throws .673, rebounds 6 per game, assists: 7.6, steals: 1.8, blocked shots: .8 and he averaged 14.6 points.

We are not the typical news website – nor do we wish to be. We will be offering more than news and blogs, but an opportunity for fiction writers, poets, comedians and musicians to showcase their talent and skills. Much like when the Beatles formed Apple Corps Ltd, they opened the door to all kinds of inspiring talent that never really got a shot. From that came the likes of James Taylor and others. We hope by providing a similar approach we can shine the light on some tremendous undiscovered talent and at the same time offer some familiar voices who live in Los Angeles and beyond.
