Love Always has its Los Angeles premier at Gray Studios
Love Always is a collection of skits aka short plays reflecting upon the often hilarious aspects of human relationships. All written by two highly regarded playwrights and masters of comedy: Renee Taylor and Joseph Bologna.
First up is an absolutely hysterical depiction of the typical cocktail party where one stunningly beautiful single woman draws the unabashed attention of most if not all of the men present regardless of marital status. The shallowness of the assembled group is trampled by the unappreciated, by the married women in attendance, attention all the men pay to the sexy single lady.
Then play after play unfolds each showing its own unique reflection upon the often unintentionally funny aspects of human relationships. What begins at a cocktail party concludes with a very bizarre yet heavily laugh inducing menage a quatre. There is plenty of sexual innuendo in virtually every mini play but none to the extent I would call offensive to the vast majority of adults. However I would also recommend keeping the kids at home for this one. And I will say that not each and every mini play is five-star quality, but overall it is a great way to have some real fun at the theatre.
This show also marks the launch of a brand new facility for the always amazing Gloria Gifford. Grey Studios is very warm and cozy, offering essentially a theatre in the round environment. Grey Studios is located at 5250 Vineland Avenue, North Hollywood, California.
Love Always runs now through April 23rd 2017. Show times are Saturdays at 8:00 p.m. and Sundays at 7:30 p.m. Reservations may be made by calling 310-366-5505 and ticketing is available at: www.tix.com.
