Rain in Southern California to last through evening

Southern California residents found themselves getting rained on again, the second time in a month’s time.

This current rainfall is from a front that came down from Northern California. It’s expected to rain off and on throughout the day, until 11 p.m.

The counties affected include Ventura, Los Angeles, Orange, San Diego, Riverside, San Bernardino and Imperial. The higher elevation can expect snow tonight, but it is not going to accumulate.

The National Weather Service says there is a 70-80 percent chance of rain in Southern California for the remainder of the day.

The Miramar Air Show at MCAS Miramar in San Diego was shut down. some planes flew briefly in the early afternoon, and then later more flights took place, but the show by the Blue Angels had been canceled due to low ceiling and continued clouds.

The game between the Cleveland Brown and the San Diego Chargers went on time, the fans at Qualcomm Stadium undaunted by the rain.

The skies should be clearing up by Monday afternoon.
