Cleanse and Remove Makeup

  • This is a step that you can find various information about that are opposite of each other. For this writing we are going with the fact that you need to cleanse your face and ensure that all your makeup is removed. You will want to use some micellar water to get all the makeup off, which will help you get stubborn and waterproof makeup off. It also pulls it out of your pores to give you a completely clean face.

Refresh Your Skin

Before going all out and hitting the gym you need to make sure that your skin is hydrated and nourished. The best way to this is to use a facial mist. It will help keep your face hydrated and it has been infused with ingredients that will nourish your complexion. To top it all off your face will smell great, with any fragrance that you have chosen.

Hydrate With Moisturizer

The last step in your pre-workout routine is to hydrate your skin. The best way to do this is to use a lightweight moisturizer that absorbs quickly. It has ingredients to moisturize your skin, and to keep it feeling soft and fresh. The type you use of course is up to you, but the better it works at keeping your skin moist, the better off that you will be once you start sweating heavy (if you are not sweating heavy, you are not working out hard enough.)

Work Out

Now is time to do your workout. If you have followed the steps above, and used good quality products, your skin will be good throughout the work out. If not, you will have your work cut out for you afterwards.

Cleanse

Now just because you are finished with your grueling workout it does not mean that you are done. Not even close. You will need to use a cleanser that can remove all the sweat, dirt, grease and grim. It needs to be a product that does not suck the moisture out of your skin, though, it just needs to clean.

Exfoliate

You will now want to exfoliate your skin to make sure that any left-over sweat or grim is removed, as well as to take off all the dead and dry skin. Keep in mind that if you do not do this step correctly you can cause more damage to your skin than any good that you get out of it.

Serum

This is another product that will help remove imperfections, such as oils or acne that you have trouble getting under control. A good serum product will also offer your skin even more hydration, which is important to keep your skin healthy.

Moisturize

As mentioned above, it is important to keep your skin hydrated and moist. Once you have reached this step you are almost done. Use a good, lightweight moisturizer to finish your post workout routine.

Final Thoughts

When you are trying to work out without damaging your skin you need to take some precautions to ensure that you do not harm your skin. You also need to keep in mind that if you are working out in the great outdoors you need to take some precautions against the sun. It can be put on right before you start your workout, after the pre-workout routine above. And you will need to apply it again after your post-workout routine. The important thing is to not ever skip over these steps because it will cause you to have more work when you do decide to cleanse and moisturize your skin.
