Warm weather through weekend
We are having unseasonably warm weather so this will be a great weekend for going to the beach. Air temperatures will be in the high 70s in the Los Angles area and the 80s in San Diego County. The water temps are slightly higher than normal, due to the El Niño we’re experiencing, so this will be a great weekend to get in the water.
Malibu is reporting surface water temperatures of 62°f, as is Venice Beach and Huntington Beach pier; the Wedge and Seal Beach are reporting 63°f.
The warmest water is in San Diego County. San Onofre, South Carlsbad, Swami’s, are reporting 63°f. For really warm water try La Jolla Shores, Mission Beach, Pacific Beach, Ocean Beach which are all reporting water temperatures of 65°f.
For the warmest water in Southern California, head to Moonlight Beach in Encinitas. Water temperature there is 67°f and the air temp is a nice 78°f.
Any beach you choose this weekend will be nice. If you’re going surfing — well a bad day surfing is better than a good day at work. Scuba divers and surfers are advised to wear wet suits.
Forecasters say it will remain sunny through Thanksgiving and Black Friday weekend, but it will cool down around mid-week, making for a great holiday weekend.
Have a fun weekend, watch out for rip currents and try to be polite as you look for parking.
We are not the typical news website – nor do we wish to be. We will be offering more than news and blogs, but an opportunity for fiction writers, poets, comedians and musicians to showcase their talent and skills. Much like when the Beatles formed Apple Corps Ltd, they opened the door to all kinds of inspiring talent that never really got a shot. From that came the likes of James Taylor and others. We hope by providing a similar approach we can shine the light on some tremendous undiscovered talent and at the same time offer some familiar voices who live in Los Angeles and beyond.
