Cathy Areu Hired Sexual Harassment Attorney To Go After 3 Of Fox News Top Hosts

Regular on-air guest at Fox News Channel, Cathy Areu, has hired a Sexual Harassment Attorney to make a case against stars of the channel.

According to Areu, Howard Kurtz, Sean Hannity and Tucker Carlson are guilty of sexual misbehaving. She accused the trio of sexual harassment.

The lawsuit was filed in New York on Monday, July 20, and has since been labeled as untrue and frivolous by the channel.

The Men’s Roles At Fox News Channel

Carlson and Hannity are part of Fox News Channel’s popular prime-time lineup. Kurtz hosts the ‘Media Buzz’ show which airs on weekends.

Before Areu and her Sexual Harassment Attorney’s accusations, none of them were ever accused of any misconduct.

The Lawsuit

Arue’s lawsuit claims that she was in discomfort back in March 2018 when Hannity put a $100 bill on a table and challenged the men to take her on a date.

In another alleged incident that took place in December of that same year, Carlson told Arue that he was staying in a hotel room alone. Apparently, it was implied that she should spend the night keeping him company.

Then, in 2019, Kurtz allegedly invited Areu to his hotel room to discuss her getting a full-time job at the channel. However, she invited him to have dinner with her and one of her friends, which he declined.

Areu feels that Kurtz and Carlson were making sexual advances on her. She also added that a Fox contributor, Gianno Caldwell, prepositioned her.

In addition, Areu claims that she received more than one lewd message from the channel’s news anchor Ed Henry.

Ed Henry’s Dismissal

In the same case, it was stated that Henry has allegedly raped and harassed a former employee of the channel, Jennifer Eckhart.

He was subsequently fired on 1 July after the channel was informed of the accusations. However, Catherine Foti, his lawyer, said Eckhart had encouraged a sexual relationship with her client.

According to Henry, he received suggestive messages and graphic photos from Eckhart.

Fox News Channel’s Response

The channel says that an outside law firm’s investigation found all the claims to be false and devoid of merit.

Fox channel will be defending itself against Areu’s claims.

Not Fox’s First Encounter With Sexual Harassment Claims

This is not the first time that the network is going up against Douglas Wigdor’s law firm. They are known for pursuing sexual misconduct cases.

They have more than one Sexual Harassment Attorney who are relentless and chase the truth.

Fox has vowed to change its ways after Bill O’Reilly, one of their stars, and a chairman, Roger Ailes, was fired because of allegations made against them.

The network says it takes all claims of sexual misconduct and harassment very seriously.
