Genesis Open hosted by Tiger Woods
Tiger Woods hosts this year’s Genesis Open at the Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades and leads a field of the PGA’s best golfers. Dustin Johnson will try to defend his title in this elite field that has already started play.

Fans are encouraged to come out and watch the action as it plays now through Sunday. There’s zero percent chance of rain predicted for the next four days so it will be great weather, with temperatures in the 70s Thursday through Saturday and the mid-60s on Sunday.
As of now Derek Fathauer is on top of the leader board with -4 and he’s closely followed by Graeme McDowell who is at -3.
The Genesis Open is one of the premiere sports events in the Los Angeles area and draws crowds every day. One-day tickets are as low as $55 and for the spectacular seats $350. Packages ( and single-day tickets) in their four viewing areas can be purchased HERE.
In a change from previous years single game tickets can be purchased and used on any day of the competition rounds, although rounds Friday through Sunday are sold out in the Greenside seating. Don’t wait until Saturday or Sunday to get your tickets. You might be too late.
There is also time to volunteer, and you can register HERE.

Los Angeles Post-Examiner is not the typical news platform. We go beyond headlines, creating a space for fiction writers, poets, comedians and musicians to share their talent and be discovered. Inspired by the Beatles’ vision behind Apple Corps Ltd, they opened the door to all kinds of inspiring talent that never really got a shot. From that came the likes of James Taylor and many others. By providing a similar approach we can shine the light on some tremendous undiscovered talent and at the same time offer some familiar voices who live in Los Angeles and beyond.
