LAFC prepare for Borussia Dortmund
The Los Angeles Football Club suffered its first loss on Saturday to the Timbers in Portland. They played well possessing the ball for 59 percent of the match. But Samuel Amenteros scored his first MLS goal in 81st minute to clinch the win for Portland.
The club is still in second place behind Sporting Kansas City in the MLS Western Conference.
LAFC’s next game will be at home against Borussia Dortmund. Borussia is 4th in the German Bundesliga and should provide a different style of play for L.A. They have a strong fan base, built up since 1909 so LAFC fans should expect to see Dortmund colors in Banc of California Stadium.
Dortmund has won championships in its 109 year history, so playing a team with an established record and history of winning should be a good test for the L.A. club.
The Dortmund star to watch will be midfielder Christian Pulisic, a U.S. prospect from Hershey, PA. He was just 17 years old when he scored a goal for Team USA in a friendly match with Bolivia. He also scored goals for Dortmund in his first season last year. This season he has scored four goals in the Bundesliga.
On the other side Dortmund will have to contend with Diego Rossi and Carlos Vela who scored his seventh goal of the season in Saturday’s match.
This will be a tough match for L.A. and a great game for the fans.

We are not the typical news website – nor do we wish to be. We will be offering more than news and blogs, but an opportunity for fiction writers, poets, comedians and musicians to showcase their talent and skills. Much like when the Beatles formed Apple Corps Ltd, they opened the door to all kinds of inspiring talent that never really got a shot. From that came the likes of James Taylor and others. We hope by providing a similar approach we can shine the light on some tremendous undiscovered talent and at the same time offer some familiar voices who live in Los Angeles and beyond.
