Mayweather weigh-in with challenger Berto a show itself
The hottest boxer in the world for at least the past ten years as been Floyd “Money” Mayweather, Junior. Here at the MGM Grand Garden Arena thousands of boxing fans have paid a lot of money to see if Mayweather can match Rocky Marciano’s record of 49 wins and now losses. He is now undefeated in 48 fights and 26 of his wins have been by knockout.
His opponent for Saturday’s fight will be Andre Berto, a two-time welterweight champion with a record of 30 and 3. Friday we were at the weigh-in, which is the biggest event before the actual fight Each fighter will get weighed to make sure he meets the legal limits for fighting in this division — 140 to 147 pounds. Most fighters have no problem being heavy enough for a fight, the big problem is getting down to the weight.
The under card fights will be: Román Martínez vs Orlando Salido, Badou Jack vs St. George Groves and Ishe Smith vs Vanes Martirosyan.
Below is my video from the weigh-in festivities. A link to my report from the fight.
