Mayweather gets his 49th win

Here at the MGM Grand Garden Arena boxing fans wanted to see if Floyd “Money” Mayweather could match Rocky Marciano’s record of 49 and 0. The 12-time champion, five division champion had not lost a professional fight before Saturday, defeating 48 rivals, 26 of them by knockout.
Some people have asked if Andre Berto is a worthy opponent for Mayweather’s final fight, but maybe the real question should be: were there any contenders out there who might be better than Berto?
As it turns out, it wasn’t the fight of the century, or even a close fight. This was Floyd “Money” Mayweather’s final fight and he tied Rocky Marciano’s record of 49-0. There was no way Mayweather would let anything get in the way of that goal. But as one fight fan pointed out: this is Mayweather’s final fight with Showtime and now he is free to do whatever he wants.
Below is my video report from the fight and a link, here, to my report from the weigh-in.
