Clippers Face the Pelicans in Second Play-In Game

The 2021-22 season has been long for the Los Angeles Clippers. They have faced a lot of adversity — without Kawhi Leonard — and still found a way into the Play-In Tournament.

And the hits just keep coming. On Friday morning we learned their super star forward, Paul George, will miss tonight’s game due to testing positive for COVID-19.

If the Clippers win this game, they will go on to face the Phoenix Suns in the first round of the playoffs. The Clips have the players to win and their coach Tyronn Lue has a good mind for this game. Players we can take note of: Marcus Morris, Sr., Reggie Jackson, Nicolas Batum, Ivica Zubac, Norman Powell, Terance Mann and Robert Covington. And we will probably see some action from Isaiah Hartenstein and Amir Coffey.

The Pelicans are very good, starting with their A-team CJ McCollum, former Laker Brandon Ingram, who is playing great, Herbert Jones, Jason Hayes and Jonas Valanciunas, who gets an average of 17.8 points and 11.4 rebounds per game. The Clippers’ big men will have their hands full guarding him.

Larry Nance, Jr. who started his NBA career with the Lakers, will add points and grab rebounds, as well Devonte Graham.

The Pelicans’ star power forward, Zion Williamson is out, due to a foot injury. The Pelicans can win without him, but it will be tough.

It’s almost game time. Buckle up and watch your Clippers tame on the Pelicans at 7 pm, from Crypto.com Arena in Downtown Los Angeles.
