For the West, Lakers forward LeBron James leads the team, joined by his teammate, center/forward Anthony Davis, Clippers forward Kawhi Leonard, James Harden, point guard of the Houston Rockets and the young guard from the Dallas Mavericks, Luka Doncic. The West has an all Texas back court and all L.A. front line.

The big stories in this year’s ASG arte that LeBron James and Giannis Antetokounmpo are the top vote getters in their conferences and the inclusion of Trae Young and Luka Doncic, both of whom have been tearing up the league with their play.

This is also the 16th time James has been named an All-Star and the second year in a row he has been named the team captain. He has been the ASG MVP three times, the last time was in 2018. LeBron James is widely considered one of the best players in NBA history and the face of the NBA. This season James is averaging 25.2 points, 7.7 rebounds and 10.8 assists per game.

Anthony Dais is making his seventh appearance. His 2019-2020 slash line is 26.3 points, 9.2 rebounds and 2.5 blocks per game.

The two captains, Antetokounmpo for the East and James for the West, will select the rest of their teams from the pool of players voted as starters and reserves from the two conferences.

The only player confirmed for the AT&T Slam Dunk Contest is center Dwight Howard of the Lakers. That takes place Saturday, February 15.
