1. Don’t Wait Until the Last Minute

International deliveries take more time, and there are several factors that can delay a shipment, such as weather, holidays, or high demand.

For example, if you plan to send flowers to Barcelona, Spain for Sant Jordi, when men traditionally send roses to women, you may miss the date if you wait until April 20 to order your flowers (3 days before the festival).

Don’t wait until the last minute to order your flowers. Plan ahead. It’s better for the flowers to arrive a little early than several days after the occasion.

When sending flowers overseas, it’s important to keep the recipient’s time zone in mind. The last thing you want is for the flowers to arrive too early or too late because there was confusion over dates and times.

There is a seven-hour time difference between the eastern U.S. and Greece. The time difference grows as you move farther out west in the U.S. (there’s a 10-hour time difference between California and Greece).
