Officer-involved shooting in Burbank
At approximately 8:35 a.m. Thursday morning two South Pasadena Police Officers were serving a warrant on a person in a residence on Broadway near Amherst in the City of Burbank when that person created a threat to the officers. The officers fired on and killed the assailant. Workers in a nearby office building heard five or six gun shots. The incident is currently under active investigation
The shooting took place while the South Pasadena police officers were doing a follow up on a criminal investigation.
Details on how and why the shooting occurred have not been released by the police nor have they released the name of the deceased suspect.
