Kim Kopf, lady with the golden pen

Listen to this article

Like so many others Kim Kopf began her acting career on the East Coast in various stage productions. She loved it. So she followed the yellow brick road to California where she soon found herself in a wide range of film and television projects. One of her most exciting experiences was as a voice actor in the Disney Oscar winning smash hit animated feature film WALL-E. By 2012 Kim Kopf found small screen roles in the TV series “Behind the Scenes” and again in 2013 she appeared on TV in “Beverly Hills Pawn.”

Also in 2013 Kim Kopf found herself working in yet another Oscar winning film. This time it was Blue Jasmine starring Cate Blanchett. Also appearing in that movie was an actor by the name of Steven Jon Nichols. The relationship between Kim and Steven would take a very interesting turn a bit later on.

Unfortunately along her life path Kim Kopf encountered some very tragic moments when a beloved family member required care from the mental health community. That experience caused Kim Kopf to look at yet another creative avenue to ease her pain and express important feelings in a menacingly way. That led to her writing a script entitled “Experiment 77” which is being produced by Apple Road Films and which is currently in the preproduction phase.

But the joy Kim Kopf found in penning the script Experiment 77 brought Kim to an all new and unique project. It is a script that is still being written but which has already garnered interest in the film industry. This script promises to be an amazing action adventure film centered on the Navy SEALS. It is entitled The Shadowmaker. Co-writing with her is her old friend Steven Jon Nichols from their days together on Blue Jasmine.

So in really not all that many years Kim Kopf has evolved from a young and gifted stage actress to a notable actress on both big and small screen and perhaps most compelling as a powerful screenwriter. Oh don’t get me wrong, Kim is still very active in her acting career. Current projects include a wildly funny TV sitcom “Bruna in Beverly Hills” and “A Tennis Shoe in the Street” a short film heading off to various film festivals. But I for one can’t wait until The Shadowmaker finds its way on to the silver screen sometime in 2017. Will she truly prove to be the lady with the golden pen? I do think so.
