Details for 6th Annual Hollywood Health Hike Announced

 BURBANK, CA On December 18th 2012 Burbank resident Ronald Irwin dropped dead in his home. As he stood up from his desk he quickly grew weak and fell face forward to the floor. Luckily he was able to dial 9 1 1 before passing out completely. After 26 days in the hoispital, most of them in a coma, he was released. At the time of this incident he weighed 315 pounds. He knew that had to change. But then shortly after his Congstive Heart Failure he was diagnosed with advanced stage prostate cancer. That required 42 radiation treatments most of which he walked to and from a distance of abolut 7 miles round trip every day.

 Eventually much healthier and over 145 pounds lighter Ron Irwin decided to celebrate his much unexpected 70th birthday by taking his first annual Hollywood Health Hike. The basic premise was then and remains walk more live longer. Over the years Ron has been joined by a wide variety of fun folks inlcuding movie stars and Marines. Everyone is invited.

 This 6th annual Hollywood Health Hike will depart and eventually return to the parking lot of Ralph’s at 1100 N. San Fernando Blvd, Burbank, CA at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, April 26th 2020. The route will take hikers by Disney Studios, Warner Brothers Studios with a brief lunch break at Whole Foods before continuing to its onclusion back at Ralph’s market.

There are absolutely no fees or charges other than each participant must pay for his or her meal if they want one. Each participant is responsible for his or her own health and well being but be assured that the pace will be moderate.
